startdict in ubuntu 12.04

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download latest stable stardict-3.0.3.tar.bz2 
2. untar it
3. run ./configure

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.6 glib-2.0 >= 2.8 zlib 
libxml-2.0 >= 2.5) were not met:

No package 'gtk+-2.0' found
No package 'glib-2.0' found
No package 'libxml-2.0' found

now gtk-3.0 available. Upgrade files to support it!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
latest stable source under ubuntu 12.04

Hi,

I've an issue with this really helpful dictionary after upgrading to Ubuntu 
12.04. The problem is that 1) When StarDict runs, there is no tray icon 
anymore. 2) When I close StarDict's main window, it does not minimize to tray 
icon anymore, it shuts down the program completely. It would be really nice of 
you to help.
