Right now as per 6a5d9a1, buttons are created numbered from 1 to the numberOfRacers by the php script in tracker.php.
Only those buttons should be created which actually correspond to bib numbers given out during registration.
NOTE: The JS files were modified accordingly since commit 6a5d9a1.
