[FEATURE] Automatic backup retry

Summary

So sometimes my backup job runs when my target Repository is offline. It would be great if the backup jobs tries to rerun this backup in either a fixed time interval or another smarter one so the backup will still be executed at some point.

Motivation / Use case

Sometimes my target repo is offline during the execution schedule of the backup

Proposed solution

Automatically retry the backup if it failed n times every x seconds or any other smarter way, maybe in a exponetial matter so the delay will increase if the backup fails multiple times.
