isShowing parameter

Hi there! I like how this looks, but I'm sure most people wouldn't want it showing up indefinitely. I'd appreciate an extra argument called isShowing, which accepts a boolean. It'd be cool if when I set isShowing to false, then it fades out gracefully rather than abruptly.

If this already exists, please let me know.
