The homepage doesn't work well

Hi, thanks for your great work. Recently I tested this theme in my local environment, PHP7.3, Wordpress 5.3.2, and I found several bugs. I hope to report them. If you still want to update this theme, maybe the information would have any functions.

On my website, the title on the homepage doesn't show correctly. And, I found there is no place to upload featured images for the posts. Last, there is a warning says constant ‘excerpt_length’ - assumed '‘excerpt_length’' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in functions.php.
