Steps to reproduce

1. Make an export via the cli
2. Try to import it via the cli

Expected behaviour

Import works.

Actual behaviour

It fails, with this error message:

 [ERROR] Failed to get migrators versions

Web server: Docker on one server, nixos on the other server

Tried a few more things an upgraded both instances to nextcloud 31.0.2 and using the latest alpha release - the error persists.

You should be able to get a trace of the error running the command with -vvv. Can you try that and give us the output?

I have the same problem migrating from a bare metal installation Hub 10 (31.0.1) to AIO v10.13.0 (31.0.4)
I installed user_migration-v8.0.0-alpha.1 via the command line for both nextcloud installations

I just had the same problem. In my case, using an absolute path instead of a relative path on the command line for the archive fixed it.

@rwsselby You are using docker exec, so your file needs to be inside the docker image for the tool to find it.

So what is missing may simply be to check for file existence at the start of the command to avoid confusing messages about migrator versions.

I had the same issue, then tried ocroquettes solution and that didn't work either. Got this error:

You are right, the file is owned by my user: cannot open `xyz_2025-06-21_21-56-50.zip' (Permission denied)

Thank you for answering. I've moved on though, imported all files and setup manually.
