E-Mail Notification force

Hi,

I'm running the latest release of NextCloud with the File Retention Plugin.

Notifications seem to work, but I only get a e-mail notification if I don't check the notifications in NextCloud UI.

Can I change this behavior so that there will always be a e-mail notification?
