Description
First off, I’m a huge fan of viser. It’s been such a clean and helpful tool for my 3D workflows.
I was playing around with some scenes and thought it might be awesome to add a Fog feature—similar to how distance fog works in video games. When moving through large environments, it can sometimes feel a bit abrupt when objects hit the far clipping plane and just disappear.
Adding a configurable fog effect would be a great "quality of life" improvement because:
- It looks great: It adds a layer of polish and immersion to the viewer.
- Better Depth: It helps the eye naturally understand how far away objects are.
- Softer Edges: It masks the "popping" effect of distant objects.
I know viser is built on Three.js, so I was wondering if it might be possible to expose something like scene.fog through the Python API?
Even a simple linear fog where we can set the color and distance would be a game-changer!
Thanks for all the hard work on this library. Curious to hear what you think!
