"Not Tracked" Category entirely full of cover-less duplicates of "Reading" Category

Steps to reproduce

1: Open app
2: See "Not Tracked" Category with 250+ entries
3: Open a manga page, refresh it so it loads with metadata
4: It will move to its appropriate category as a duplicate of a manga already in that category with all chapters unread

Expected behavior

"Not Tracked" should be empty or contain few new entries that are pulled from MD recently.
It should not contain everything

Opening a manga and refreshing will move it to its appropriate category as a duplicate of a manga already in that category with all chapters marked as unread

What is your group by set as?

Did you restore from a backup on an empty library? It is weird there are so many not loaded.

Can you try grouping by something else and also try a library update

• group by is set by tracking status

• I did not restore from backup

• grouping by something else (i did status) marks them all as Unknown

Doing a library update does nothing, if I open the manga and like "refresh" it, it will add it to the appropriate category

Then picking one, Shinewbi, for example

After I open the manga and refresh that one, it will appear next to the one in the real category/group:

Hmm I don't know how you are in this state, did you sync them from mangadex to add them or something?

As for library update you likely have things being skipped can you disable all the skips in the settings

So I did a "Skip nothing" full library refresh and it started moving them all from untracked to the right category - except they were now all unread duplicates of stuff already there

When you are grouped by something else, the duplicates don't show correct?

Naw the duplicates are always there, just in their own category.

It's like

Reading Group: Properly contains all manga I have tracked as reading, all marked unread as I've read them.
Plan-To-Read Group: Properly contains all manga I have tracked as plan to read
etc
then there's
Unknown Group: Contains a cover-less copy of every manga I have tracked with each chapter marked as unread. Opening a manga in this category and like swiping down from the top to reload it will then put it in the category its supposed to be in - right next to the "read" copy of it in the appropriate category

I mean if you switch the Group By to something else like Category, or Ungrouped do you see duplicates?

Ah, yea. I mentioned before that I changed the group by from Tracking Status to Status - same thing

Though since doing the full update, I just have duplicates of everything (the Unknown categories are gone) so I guess my fix is going to have to be manually removing the duplicated ones

Can you remove them all and just restore from an automatic backup?

Ideally if this is the scenario we are in. Then I would clear the app data. Then start fresh with a restore

Alright I'll try that it if happens again.
After the full update it just put them all in the reading category so I just went through and selected the duplicates and deleted them.
I still don't know what caused that to happen in the first place but I guess it's remedied now

Little update to this, I think it has to do with like some kind of desync between neko library and MD library.
I added 1 title to my reading list and did a "Pull MD follows". It added everything to my reading list again, duplicating them all.
This time I went through and deleted the ones that were already in my neko library (the ones read/marked as read), and when I did a pull, it didn't add anything new.
