How to find the underlying codes to create a new server instance

This seems like it could be great tool and I would be keen to play with it and potentially extend it. However, I cannot see the origin of the various models. The instructions suggest to alter to `conf/app.conf` but I cannot see where to find the code/tools that are referenced in the template.

Any help much appreciated.
