The YouTube tab currently shows generic Rust-related videos and metadata. It does not reflect the user’s actual YouTube account or preferences.
Current Behavior
• Static or hardcoded topic feed
• No personalization
• No interaction beyond viewing metadata
Proposed Enhancements
Leverage YouTube API capabilities (where permitted):
• 🔐 OAuth-based account connection
• Show:
• Recently watched videos
• Liked videos
• Watch Later playlist
• Subscriptions feed
• Optional:
• Search from terminal
• Open video in browser
Constraints
• Must respect YouTube API limits & permissions
• Clear opt-in for account authentication
Expected Outcome
Terminal-based personal media dashboard instead of a static feed.
