Problem playing http stream but same OK via https

I have noticed that some http streams do not play - but their https version does.
For example - add Radio France (mine) plugin to LMS and then navigate to Radio/Radio France/Live/FIP/FIP and chose the mp3 or aac stream.
Both (at least at the time of writing this) are http (not https) streams.
They play fine on other LMS players.
Copy the URL and change to https and add to the play queue ... then it plays.

If LyrPlay has not told LMS that it can handle https natively (CanHTTPS via SlimProto capabilities announcement) then LMS will proxy the https stream.
So my guess is that LyrPlay does not like the http coming from this group of stations.

Just tried.
No sound - but the play timer does increment as if it is playing (and does not go back to zero after a few seconds).

What method are you using to Test this? I want to mess around but not sure how to know what HTTP URLs are live vs. HTTPs?

Via my Radio France plugin - which I know is using http for the MP3 stream.
Could also do it via Material web interface - since it provides a way for the user to enter a stream URL directly from the queue display.
