Ogg & Opus transcode

Hi, I've installed your app recently, it's a great replacement of ipeng for me, a bit outdated today...
But I don't have any success in transcoding in Ogg, nor opus.
The plugin is well installed in Lyrion (docker container last dev version on synology, I have tried also with the stable version).
The result is always in mp3, except if I choose Flac.
Any idea ? Could it be because my files are apple lossless ?

Currently all the transcode rules apply to FLAC - e.g. FLAC -> OGG or FLAC -> OPUS... What file type are you using ALAC?

I need to get some ALAC files and test a bit to see if we can just play natively or need to / can transcode.

The files have the extension m4a and are coded in alac / apple lossless.
Files apparently too big to be sent here...

You can do some testing here -- I dont have time / know if it'll work - steps below

1) If you have MobileTranscode plugin installed on your server -- go into folder - find custom-convert.conf and try these rules:

2) Get latest TestFlight version -- you can change your capabilities string in "Audio Settings" - pick custom format codes and use alc, aac, m4a - or try changing order -- priority matters to lyrion... https://testflight.apple.com/join/dr6p6P33

Your server will need FFmpeg and Opus-tools to do this.

Hi I just managed to do all this.

Before any return, I would like to say that your app is really fantastic. Like I said before I stopped listening to Lyrion outside home (and thus nearly at home) because of ipeng too heavy and power consuming, and I did not find any replacement.
Your app, with a lyrion docker server and tailscale works very fine.

An information before the test : since the last updates the FLAC option (i did not try the wav) did not work at all, songs blocked at the begining. Before it was send in mp3.

And now, with the above settings in the conf file and with the app / testflight :

• none of any combination of alc,aac,m4a works, except with aac/m4a files
• but when I choose opus or ogg or FLAC or WAV now it is converted in FLAC... wich is not bad at all
• and if mp3 or aac are choosen it is in mp3

Voilà.
But don't bother, if you manage to make conversion to FLAC work as with testflight (I suppose it's the Lyrion encoder / Lame that is in charge instead ?), mp3 also (very good sound), it would be excellent for me.
