Is engine really forwarding stdin to chat? That sounds stupid but well I guess it should be easy to add as it is probably shout privilege check failing if problem is that name is missing.

Could add configuration for this if it is needed somewhere but almost sure should not forward stdin to chat by default. But anyway, should be very simple thing to do.

sorry for the stupid question, but how does the chat-message even arrive in the engine, we don't have a stdin-channel/api 😕
is the name in minetest.register_on_chat_message(function(name, message)) just empty? (if so, then we could re-send it again with the admin's name)

find rest of it yourself, too tired. but it ends up in regular chat handler and it does attempt to use admin nick from config file so it shouldn't be any different from normal player message.
