Cmake Generation error while MSYS2 is on path

It turns the Windows drive locations like D: into D; and messing with my builds when not using a MSYS2 terminal. Can this be fixed?

@a2937 this is intentional behavior in MSYS2. You could work around it, but the actual problem is that you're trying to use an MSYS2 CMake to build a non-MSYS software. That's like trying to use a European spanner on a US bike: It won't ever work well, so why bother trying to make it work? Just use the correct tool for the job. In your instance, unless you're using (and likely targeting) MSYS2, don't use MSYS2's CMake.

I wasn't intentionally trying to target that CMake installation. I was trying to use a version of CMake that came with Visual Studio though.

The installation being at "C:\Program Files\CMake" with the command being & 'C:\Program Files\CMake\bin\cmake' -S . -B "build/x64" -G "Visual Studio 17 2022" -T v143 -A x64 and I was fairly certain I was using a Powershell terminal.

I'm a little befuddled as I kinda expected MSYS2's CMake to be invoked either when I'm using the terminal it came with or forgot to specify which installation of CMake to use.

I'm now even more confused than before where MSYS2 comes in. And use the terminal and PowerShell, and called C:\Program Files\CMake. Maybe you called the terminal from MSYS2?
