bug: the answers in the cross-section display aren't updated every time I click the up/down arrows to change the WSE

When I load a user defined channel and then click the down arrow several times to reduce the WSE, the cross-section view doesn't update every time - it skips some updates. I haven't looked at the relevant code; perhaps this could be a timing issue and the view is somehow being updated before the relevant variables.
This issue is bad because it means the answers displayed might be wrong - you need to click up and down to check that they have updated with your last click.
