Motor rotates vigorously without pedal input

First of all, thank you very much for the firmware; it works quite well overall! There's just one extremely annoying thing: When I stop pedaling, the motor often violently rotates a full revolution, as if I'd just pedaled. This jolts the chain every time, which is unpleasant. Does anyone know what this phenomenon is? And if so, how can I get rid of it? Thanks.

It is important that you fill the correct values for the ADC torque offset and that you check calibrated.
Please read the readme section about configuration.

Err 2 means that ,at power on, the ADC torque measured by OSF is not valid with the defined ADC torque offset.
To be valid, the value measured at power on must be

• bigger than ( ADC torque offset - 60)
• lower than ADC torque offset.
  This check is done only when calibrated is checked.

If you uncheck calibrated, the check is not performed. Still, if the ADC torque with no pressure on the pedal is greater than adc torque offset, then OSF consider that there is a pressure on the pedal (equal to the difference). This can explain that the motor deliver power even if you do not push on the pedal.

ADC torque offset is related to the value returned by the torque sensor when there is no weight on the pedal.
It depends on the motor. It varies from motor to motor. Users have reported values in the range 150 /250.

To know the value with a EKD01, you have to use a configuration that allows you to display the ADC torque offset. Look at the fields that can be displayed in the tab advanced settings in javaconfigurator.
Read also the manual to know the keys to be pressed to display the values you defined in your configuration.

I do not have a doc for EKD01 but the manual for using OSF is in doc folder under EN-Operating_manual_of _display-TSDZ2-v20.1C.2.pdf
There is also another useful doc in the same folder.

Do no apply pressure on the pedal and slowly rotate the pedal.
The displayed value should probably change wit the position of the pedal.
Notice the max value.
Add 10 to this value and enter it in pedal torque ADC offset in basic settings of javaconfigurator.
In pedal torque ADC max (in the same screen, enter 450 (this is supposed to be the ADC torque when you apply 80 kg on the pedal).
Let javaconfigurator generate the config file and flash it.
