EKD01 errors: ERR09 then ERR01

Flashing back to OEM backup hex, always resolves the issues below, and TSDZ8/EKD01 appear to work normally, including throttle.

Flashing to OSF_TSDZ8_V00_01_20.hex, causes EKD01 to display ERR09 for maybe 10secs, then switches to ERR01 permanently.

Adding on a config hex, TSDZ8_config.hex, whether the default from OSF-main, or an updated version generated by JavaConfigurator.jar, always results in permanent ERR30 on the EKD01. No flash of TSDZ8_config.hex, with any settings from any source, has ever resulted in anything other than ERR30.

It seems that your config is not correct.

I do not know what is ERR30. Should be checked in documentation from this display. This code is not generated by OSF.
Perhaps (not sure at all) , it means that there is a communication issue between the display and the controller.

I have a similar error to spesc. When I flash the firmware and then power on the EKD01, it displays E09 but the display stays on E09. I get the same error E09 when using the VLCD5 that originally came with the TSDZ8. Occasionally, the displays will power on without error, appear to go through their initialization sequence, and the displays will look correct, but touching any button on display will generate E09.

What limited information I can find online indicates an EEPROM write error. However, both displays work without error when I flash back the original firmware.

The error E09 is an error detected by OSF running in the controller. It is the controller that sent this code to the display.

E09 is generated when the hex file that has been loaded for the configuration (TSDZ8_config.hex) is not compatible with OSF version that has been loaded with the other hex file (the firmware).

Could it be that you have downloaded the latest files from my github and used this version of javaconfigurator.
In this case, you should not use as firmware the file named OSF_TSDZ8_V00_01_20.hex but one of the 3 others.

I should have deleted the file OSF_TSDZ8_V00_01_20.hex (that is supposed to work with a previous version of javaconfigurator) but I forgot it.
