Question regarding real-world testing.

Not really a code issue, but I was unsure where to write. First thing, thank you for starting this project. I have mounted and tested the stock TSDZ8, with a mix of excitation (motor build is way better than TSDZ2) and disappointment (assistance levels much flatter and the top level also rather weak). I never had to flash the OSF on TSDZ2 (the 52V was good enough), but here I would definitely do it, given than an official firmware update does not seem to be beefy enough. I don't mind trying a beta version, but I'd much prefer if it had been tested at least once by the main developper ! I read in the readme that the software was not tested on a bike yet? Is that still true? As soon as you @mstrens had the chance to try it on the road and clear the main roadblocks first, I'd be happy to test and provide some feedback.

EDIT: I understand from #1 that it worked at least for one person :). I guess I'll go ahead then. Just the time to order the JLINK. Thanks.

The shop ebykestuff is selling several type of motors and is currently actively testing my firmware.
He used OSF on a bike and made 60Km.
It seemed to work but was jerky (see the forum).

Still yesterday during some tests (not on the road) he destroyed a controller. We do not know why.
Since one day, he also noticed that he could not get anymore more that 5 Amp while he got 18A when it was on a bike.
I am currently trying to understand why he had now this limit at 5A.

If you want to know more, I think you can ask on the forum and he will normally reply to your question.

At this stage, I do not yet plan to use the firmware on a bike because I have only one motor and it is difficult to further develop/debug the firmware when it is on a bike.
