Hello and thanks for your hard work.

I've flashed the firmware and i'm testing in with a Ekd01 display.

I'm trying to use a sw102 flashed with the firmware from the tsz2 osf github but i cannot connect to the controller. (Wait to tsdz2)

Wich display are you using to test?

I am using a VLCD5 display that was delivered with my TSDZ8.
I do not have another display but in principle, I reused the code from TSDZ2 to communicate with the display.
I expect that you know that there are 2 versions of OSF for TSDZ2 made by mbrusa. One use the original tongsheng communication protocol and does not require to modify the display. The other is for a 860C display but requires to reprogram the display because it uses a specific protocol. The version I made is based on the first OSF TSDZ2 version (so for VLCD5 or equivalent)

Did you tried with the version I put on github yesterday?
Did you also flash an HEX file with the configuration parameters using the XLS sheet on google drive?
Note: The firmware makes a check that the HEX file for configuration has been uploaded and is compatible. If it is not the case, it generate an error 09 for VLCD5 (it could be that the code is different for another display).

I just had a look at
https://ebikestuff.eu/en/tuning-elements/215-sw102-display-for-tsdz2-osf.html

and they say that it uses OSF v20.1C.4.

I expect this version is for the 860C. https://github.com/emmebrusa/TSDZ2-Smart-EBike-860C/releases

I plan to make also a TSDZ8 OSF version for 860C but it is not yet finished (and I have no display to test my code and so debuging will be very difficult)

Yes I flashed the hex you uploaded yesterday and I also flashed the config the with your xls tool.

Right now i'll continue testing using the ekd01 with oem tsdz8 firmware.

What works:

Light by pressing button up
Torque response seems working really good
Super sensible torque (nice)
Speed sensor working
Power meter

What I noticed doesnt work:

Walk mode by pressin button down

Is there a way I can help you by providing wome log or something?

I will check the osf github and forum to check if I can use a sw102 to change settings/assist.

In your XLS config what is the mode that you choose at power on?
I had defined "cadence" in my xls because it was the easiest for my tests on the table.
Did you already try the motor on a bike with different assist modes?

It is quite difficult to debug with only a display connected to the controller.
When jlink device is connected to the controller, it is then easy to get access to all data inside the controller.
You can use uc_probe for it.
I explain in the readme section how to get uc-probe and I provide a file allowing to see already some data.
Did you try this tool?
I can easily make another file for uc_probe that should display more live data and so helping debugging.

Still, I expect a small issue to use this tool for testing the walk assist.
I presume that, in walk assist, the firmware checks the wheel speed sensor. Still if you use a cable connecting directly the controller to Jlink, you can't connect the speed sensor.
The speed sensor has 2 yellow female connectors. I though connecting the controller to one of them and Jlink to the other but it does not work because the SWDIO and SCLK signals are not internally connected in this yellow dual connector.
If you make you own cable to connect Jlink to the controller using an extension cord, then there is a solution: cut the extension cord is 2 parts; resolder the 6 wires but also solder the 4 wires going to Jlink. So you extension cable has now 3 connectors: the original female that goes to the controller, the original male connector that goes to the yellow speed sensor and the one added going to Jlink.

As said in a previous post, I expect that SW102 will work fine with a OSF version for 860C (based on ebikestuff site). I am still working on such a version for TSDZ8.
Perhaps there is a version of SW102 firmware that works with original TSDZ2 firmware. If such a firmware exist, then it should normally also work with my current version of OSF for TSDZ8

I just made a test with the walk assist.
I did it with the motor on the table in a version where I added some code to simulate the wheel speed sensor (giving a speed of 4km/h).
I used a VLCD5.
In my case, the motor start running when I long press on "-" button and stop running when I release the button.

Do you still have this issue? Did you checked your config?

How to activate WALK ASSIST
3
To be used when assistance is needed to push the bike on foot. (Up to 6 km/h.).
Activated with the dedicated button, consult the manual of your display.
There are 4 levels of assistance ECO(1) - TOUR(2) - SPORT(3) - TURBO(4).
The assistance values can be modified in the configurator.
At level 0-OFF no assistance except for the VLCD5 and XH18 displays.
There are limitations due to the XH18 and VLCD5 displays, activating the walk assist button also decreases
the level, it is a defect of the displays that must be taken into account, the assistance of the set level is not
activated but the lower one. Not only that, but by activating the walk assist button at level 1-ECO, you go to
level 0-OFF and the motor stops, but not always. Sometimes it maintains the assistance of level 1, it is a limit
of the displays.
Using low gears, high gears stress the transmission.
An anti-rebound time is available on the walk assist activation button, useful on rough terrain when a
jolt to bike can cause the button to be released accidentally.
