fails to install gUtils with command status 128

Hello,

I do get the following error message while trying to install :

> devtools::install_github("Bio-LiHe/gUtils") Downloading GitHub repo mskilab/gUtils@HEAD Error: Failed to install 'gUtils' from GitHub: Command failed (128) In addition: Warning message: In system(full, intern = TRUE, ignore.stderr = quiet) : running command ''/usr/bin/git' ls-remote https://git.bioconductor.org/packages/GenomeInfoDb RELEASE_3_10 2>/dev/null' had status 128

Could you please advise? I am using linux R version4.1.3.

Hi, this error sounds like some kind of permissions issue rather than an issue with the gUtils package. Have you tried cloning the repository first and then installing from that path?

e.g. git clone git@github.com:mskilab/gUtils.git
then devtools::install([path to gUtils folder]).
