Brush container or history

Sure one brush history (B) is somehow limited, especially if you customize your drawing brush.

From Mastodon discussion: there is the way ProMotion 4.7 handle it.

The save/load/clear options in the brush container subwindow save, load, or clear, the entire brush container. You right-click a slot in the brush container to drop a brush there and right-click it to pick a brush.

Well, it's a windows, but we don't have the place left or a window UX. Shift B or right click on Brush tool for Restore is a short and efficient shortcut for last brush recall. We already have alt-B and Ctrl-b keys used. Maye something like SHIFT CTRL B open the brush manager where we can store, save and delete brushs in a 3x3 grid with 9 brushs preview. Or right-click on the predefined Brush ? I'm not 100% sure...

OK, I'll put it here, but I'm not the first to be convinced.

As a user, if I list the need :

• if you draw a lot with 1bit or 2 bit pictures, with manual dithering and pattern fills, you need to store them. But that's more a way to add predefined and custom drawing brushs and patterns, store and save them. We discuss that in another thread.

• when working on brush trails move, you need to store some brushs (mainly shapes : octogons, stars, rectangles, your logo) who you like to use for FX and animation. But you can use Brush saves. Maybe we can provide a brush directory for beginners.
  

• Ok, like the guy example, if you work on a font, having to create a text from Demomaker fonts is booring : grab a letter, paste it, grab another, paste it. But can't we do better with real Color font / Font grid management, editing and support ?

My conclusion : the real need is more a efficient way of storing and switching between :

• the custom brush and pattern I like for everyday production
• the complex brush I use for my current Animation project

My two cents : copying and pasting part of the screen (ie: letters) create a lot of useless brush history.
