afk situation's fade & twirl gets stuck

I'm using the default AFK situation which fades the UI and slowly spins the camera around me.  Lately, it's gotten stuck.  When I come back to the keyboard and start doing stuff, the camera demands to keep spinning, and often the UI remains faded.  Makes it hard to play.  So I've had to disable the AFK situation.
