We request registration of four ISO brand FourCCs used to signal Dolby Vision CMAF media profiles in ISOBMFF/CMAF content:
dv58 — Dolby Vision Profile 5/8 CMAF Media Profile
Dolby Vision CMAF Media Profile for Profiles 5 and 8.
Base-layer codec/profile: HEVC Main10.
Max Dolby Vision level: 9.
Max resolution/frame rate: 3840x2160 @ 60 fps.
intended usage: To be added to ftyp/styp compatible_brands to indicate CMAF
compliance for Dolby Vision Profile 5 and 8 tracks and enable
adaptive set identification/switching across CMAF streams.
note: Profiles 5 and 8 share a CMAF media profile because P8.1/P8.4-capable
decoders can also decode P5.
dv09 — Dolby Vision Profile 9 CMAF Media Profile
Dolby Vision CMAF Media Profile for Profile 9.
Base-layer codec/profile: AVC High.
Max Dolby Vision level: 5.
Max resolution/frame rate: 1920x1080 @ 60 fps.
intended_usage: Used in ftyp/styp compatible_brands to mark CMAF compliance for
Dolby Vision Profile 9 tracks (AVC base layer) enabling interoperable
adaptive delivery across CMAF-based systems.
