stopped or slow car

How would I put a stopped (or slow) car in the middle of the road? Thx.

Assume you have a network of roads, network[0], network[1] etc. and a vehicle myVehicle . To put this vehicle on, say, the link network[0] at the longitudinal coordinate u and on a certain lane index lane with a certain speed, you do the following:

myVehicle.u=u; myVehile.lane=lane; myVehicle.speed=speed
network[0].veh.unshift(myVehicle);
network[0].updateEnvironment();

You need the road.updateEnvironment() command to reorder the vehicles and update the local neighborhood of all vehicles on that road.

If you do not yet have a car at hand, you create one by
myVehicle=new vehicle(vehLength, vehWidth, u, lane,speed, type);
with type="car", "truck", or "obstacle". Also default longitudinal and lane-changing models are added to this vehicle but of course you can change them by changing the attributes of the members longModel and LCModel.

If you want to put an obstacle, just set speed=0 and the type to "obstacle". Then, you could do directly

network[0].veh.unshift(new vehicle(vehLength, vehWidth, u, lane,0, "obstacle"));
network[0].updateEnvironment();

This is used in my simulator to interactively throw obstacle on the road or to model red traffic lights (there, the obstacle is a stopping line of length 0.2 m and width equal to the whole road which is put on the central road axis.
