We’re writing to inform you that Gemini 3 Pro Preview will be discontinued on March 26, 2026.
To avoid service interruptions, please migrate your workloads to Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview, Gemini 3 Flash Preview, and Gemini 2.5 Pro General Availability (GA). Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview will be priced the same as Gemini 3 Pro Preview.
We’ve provided additional details below to help you understand these changes and take any necessary actions.

Key changes:
Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview endpoint availability: Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview (gemini-3.1-pro-preview) is now available via Vertex AI. Pricing is unchanged from 3 Pro Preview.
Gemini 3 Pro Preview endpoint removal: Gemini 3 Pro Preview (gemini-3-pro-preview) will be discontinued starting March 26, 2026.
Provisioned Throughput (PT): PT for Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview will be available.
If you’ve purchased PT for a specific preview version (e.g. Gemini 3 Pro Preview), it will still map to the same preview version (Gemini 3 Pro Preview). It will not automatically roll over to a new endpoint.
However, you must migrate the existing PT to an available endpoint or purchase new PT by March 26, 2026. Failure to update to a new model prior to the retirement of the preview model will result in continuing to be charged PT for a model that is not available.
