Push to cheeseshop?

Not sure what it would take to do so, but I'd support making this the official released version of the tool. The Elixir project appears to be dead, and your addition at least keeps working with recent versions of SQLAlchemy.

Since elixir is already on PyPI, I think the right step is to first
contact the authors. I've mailed Daniel (since it's his domain) to ask
for his opinion on the matter.

That seems very reasonable. I appreciate you doing this! I was about to
fork Elixir and do this myself, but was happy that someone else had already
done so.

Any word back from Daniel on this?

Daniel has stopped working on Elixir. Since SQLAlchemy has a declarative
mapper by now (
http://docs.sqlalchemy.org/en/rel_0_8/orm/extensions/declarative.html),
it seems pointless to push Elixir forward. He said he will discuss it
with his team members how to go on. Since it's a free project, anyone
can fork it like I have and provide patches.
So, for now, status quo.

Thank you for the update. It sounds like moving away from Elixir is the way
to go in the long term.
