Kerbals immediately die after launch with TakeCommand #1

I created a small airplane like item with a TakeCommand control seat on it. I didn't think to put life support on it since I was deploying on the runway and wasn't going to go into space. Immediately, the kerbal in question died.

I'm fine with kerbals needing life support in this situation--they are wearing their spacesuits while on the TakeCommand chair. However, I don't think they should immediately die. Taking a note from your description on the forums:

  • Kerbals will require life support to stay alive (1 unit per 6 hour day).
  • Kerbals which have run out of life support will die.

I think it's fair to assume that on immediate launch, kerbals have eaten, drank, and pumped their suit full of oxygen giving them six hours before death. As such, that's my suggestion to fix this--kerbals on launch are initialized with one unit of life support.
