Description
I've been having fun using and trying out Aether with some of the output of the model I work on, GEOS.
That said, we currently produce files in both lat-lon and in cubed-sphere output. And our cubed-sphere output is...different. The lat-lon output works fine (as expected) but the CS output is just seen as gobbledygook as expected.
However, there might be an "easy" path forward. Last year, the fine folks at UXarray helped such that their code can read GEOS CS output just fine. I've written up some basic instructions on how to use it on our wiki.
Of course, having UXarray support might make Aether much more flexible. They can read/plot all sorts of interesting grids.
