Law7 is an open-source legal intelligence system that provides AI assistants with access to consolidated legal documents from official government sources.

What is Law7?

Law7 uses a hybrid architecture:

• Python data pipeline - Crawls official sources (pravo.gov.ru), parses documents, generates embeddings
• TypeScript MCP server - Serves legal queries to AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok)

Currently supports 23 Russian legal codes (~6,700 articles) with historical version tracking from 2011-present.

AI-First Development Philosophy

Law7 is built around AI-human cognitive partnership - we use AI assistants to enhance, not replace, our thinking and development capabilities.

Our Principles:

• Conscious Delegation: Understand context before delegating to AI
• Cognitive Partnership: AI as thinking enhancer, not replacement
• Active Thinking: First self, then AI - form your own understanding first
• Metacognitive Monitoring: Track what you're learning vs. delegating

Recommended Workflow:

1. Check git status and git log for context
2. Explore codebase structure yourself (or use AI Explore agent)
3. Use AI to explain patterns, not just generate code
4. Verify all suggestions against actual codebase conventions
5. Commit only changes you understand

This approach develops your skills while leveraging AI productivity - you grow as you contribute!
