Improve handling of interrupted Docker installation

Visual Studio Code recommended this extension, but I accidentally triggered a forced Docker installation.
I immediately terminated the installation and uninstalled the extension. However, I now find my WSL environment has been compromised—my previous Docker setup is unusable. When I enter WSL, I'm logged in as a devcontainers user, and I don't know the root password...
How can I restore my system?

You can use wsl -d <DistroName> -u root from a Windows shell to get root access.
