Current status? Caches don't show up

Hello! I was wondering if there are any plans to resume active development on this extension?

I just started using Azure Cache for Redis at work and was excited to find this extension, since I can't seem to connect to my caches using Redis Insight (probably because of complicated firewall/VPN policies), but I can use other Azure VS Code extensions to access our resources. So I was optimistic that I would be able to see our cache data with this extension!

However, our Azure Caches don't show up in the Azure panel:

I also don't see any output in the Azure Cache terminal:

My educated guess is that this has to do with the fact that the extension hasn't been updated for four years 😅...but I would love to be proved wrong!

Hi @alexravenna , we unfortunately do not have immediate plans to update the extension. But it's always something that we toss around now and again! It helps to get this feedback to know that there's interest. There's a good chance that your cache isn't showing up in the extension due to the same VPN/firewall complications you mentioned earlier. We do have this guide for connecting Azure Cache for Redis to RedisInsights which might be helpful.
