Plan for SQL on FHIR support

Hello team,

Here are my questions:

• Do you offer or have a published strategy for large-scale analytics extracting — for example flattening the nested FHIR resource model into tabular / SQL optimized structures for cohort queries, joins, aggregations?

• Specifically, is there a plan (or is it already under development) to incorporate the “SQL on FHIR” specification (SQL on FHIR®) or something equivalent into the FHIR service, such that one could query flattened tabular projections of FHIR data using SQL (or use a “view runner” over FHIR resources)?

Hi @mauriceli-unsw , thanks for your question! We understand SQL on FHIR is important and is something that we are considering; however, we don't currently have anything in our backlog as of yet.
