Bing Search API will be shut down in August 2025…

Anyone has luck to integrate Grounding with Bing and the necessary Azure AI Agent with azure chat?

To use grounding with bing we have to use the azure ai agent service. I'm not sure whether this works together or side by side with the completion endpoints or whether we have to switch completely to the agent service.

I have also been struggling with this issue, and recently decided to switch to the Brave Search API. By using the Brave Search API, you can start using it with just a few adjustments to the settings based on the Bing Search extension. If it is allowed under your organization's policy, please give it a try.

@makotookamura Thank you tor your comment. I also wish to switch to Brave from Bint search. Did you change the code besides the change of extension setting?It will raise the hurdle if I change the code since I have to deploy to production site after change the code and test it at local.

@makotookamura I made it by setting extension parameters only without changing code. Thank you for your advice to suggest a try ot Brave.

@jnxjent - Can you post what you actually changed to get Brave Search to work, and which Subscription Plan you used? I've not been able to get it to work by just updating the API key and the search URL.

I selected basic plan because I use this for AzureChat which is AI system. Free plan does not mention to allow AI system. The setting at extension is not only for API and end pointURL but header , GPT Function call definision should be adjusted.
