controlling remote computer

Hopefully I can explain this correctly. When accessing the remote computer, the controller will navigate around the login screen of the remote system. It works fine in the local machine, but controls both local and remote computers.

I found this out when I inadvertently kicked me out of the system while playing a game and turning wifi off from the login screen of the remote system. It worked fine for a week, and then one day, just randomly got kicked and took a couple days of trouble shooting to figure out that it was controlling both computers and not staying in the local machine. Perhaps there was an update or a setting i need to change to get it working again??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Same issue here on Windows 11 25H2.
When I use the controller, it controls both the local and the remote computer. On the login screen, it is very easy to accidentally restart or shut down the remote PC.
