Unable to pass Edge Addon verification after fixing review issues

Previously, my extension description did contain references to another browser, and I understand why those submissions were rejected.

However, I have since updated the listing. The current description references Microsoft Edge only, and all mentions of other browsers have been removed.

Despite this, new submissions are still being rejected with the same message:

“1.1.2 Distinct Function & Value; Accurate Representation - The product listing includes references to another browser. Issue found in: Description.”

Could you please point me to the exact text or section in the current description where this issue is detected? This will help me correct it and ensure full compliance with Edge Add-ons policies.

Hi @pavlon92 I see that your extension was submitted for review on 12/18/2025, 6:03:04 PM, and it has failed because of the below two reasons:

1. Extensions that change the Default search engine/New Tab page should use the standard browser APIs to achieve that functionality.

2. Unfortunately, we cannot test the product because the product's primary functions are not usable.

   • Steps to reproduce:

     1. Install the extension.

     2. Select the Sign in with Google option.

     3. Notice the displayed window claims: Access is blocked.

I recommend taking the necessary corrective actions based on the reasons for the failure noted above and then submitting it again for review. Thank you.
