Get-MCASActivity does not seem to return old activities

From either the Defender portal or the MCAS portal, activity log search can select "Investigate 6 months back" link to search for old activities instead of the default 30 days or so data. Using Get-MCASActivity cmdlet with the -DateBefore and -DateAfter parameters with older date does not return any activities while the GUI method returns data.
