Foundry Local Release Plan

Is Foundry Local a strategic investment from Microsoft or merely tech exploration from an enthusiastic team?
MS Build 2025 was already some time ago - some key questions are still unclear from the Planning point of view.
Just for example:

• If/when non-Qualcomm NPUs enter the picture?
• When will Foundry Local enter a proper Preview? GR?
• Is there a general milestones/features that are being actively worked on, besides the issue tracker?

@ElSrJuez - Thanks for the feedback! Foundry Local has a dedicated (and enthusiastic) full-time team - it is not tech exploration.

As you may have seen, yesterday we released a new version of foundry local that could run the OpenAI OSS model - GPT-OSS-20B. That was quite significant work to ensure the model architecture could run with performance and quality on-device.

We are working in the background on enabling many more NPUs and GPUs into Foundry Local plus many more features like Agents, Model Types, etc.

I understand your point on having a more open roadmap - let me circle with the team and come back with a proposal.
