If a tagline were to be re-introduced, it has to be shown in the Splash section (example) which would need to be reworked, quite possibly involving the removal of the profile image and the logo shrink-on-scroll animation. |

A tagline helps visitors quickly grasp your expertise and personality in just a few words, setting the tone for the rest of your content. However, crafting an effective one can be challenging when your audience is unclear. For recruiters, in particular, your tagline might emphasize different skills than what they have in mind. Simply listing academic credentials as a substitute for the tagline is also insufficient for the same reason.
Using a typewriter effect to cycle through valid titles (that may not necessarily be job-related) forces users to have to wait to see all the options, which is annoying. Additionally, recruiters—who are often pressed for time—may only glance at the first one or two titles before moving on. If the role they’re hiring for isn’t at the beginning of the sequence, they might miss it entirely. What if the position you’re applying for doesn’t appear at all? For these reasons, I advise against this approach.
In my opinion, the most effective title, if you had to choose one, is "Computational Scientist" since it aligns with data science roles while leaving room for further discussion.
