localhost vs the web #4

Hello i tried to use this benchmark tool and i cant seem to understand my results. When i try to benchmark my socketio remote server from my pc i cant reach more than 150-200 users, but when i do the same test from the remote server to himself (localhost) i can get 3000+ users easily.I believe this is an issue with traffic and bandwith from my pc am i correct? can i do anything to test this without using 100+ pc to simulate clients?
