How to add more subscriber fields?

This is a great app that we've used for years for bulk mail merges.

However, we often need to include more information in these emails than the system allows. For example, we need to send a yearly total of donations made, and we might need to include street address or other information at times. How difficult would it be to include more fields to the subscriber object (perhaps address fields plus three generic fields that could be used for any purpose)?

I could look for another app that includes this feature or code these changes myself, but I believe that adding this to sendportal would make it more useful for everyone.

Not possible at the moment, I'm afraid. I have an idea on how to tackle this, but not enough time.

Can you share your ideas on how to tackle this here? Perhaps some of us who would find it useful could work on it and you could review it.
