The purpose of ghosts is to (a) communicate that someone not nearby may be listening to conversations near an orb and (b) to allow the speaker to gauge in a glance how many people are actually listening to their talk. According to both of these criteria ghosts are redundant when a player is nearby the orb. Hence we now only spawn ghosts when a player is further than 50 studs from the orb.

  • Players attached as listener to orbs now hear in the direction of the speaker, if there is one, and in the direction of the point of interest if there isn't
  • Each orb now has an "eye ring" (black) and an "ear ring" (white) which show the direction you will see with orbcam and when attached as listener respectively.
