With "art" boards (such as some of the pocket portals) it's easy to accidentally open them and draw a few lines without meaning to, and then very hard to clean it up later with an eraser (because maybe you have to erase many other strokes). It should be possible for users to lock certain boards (to avoid inconvenience I think any user with permission to write should be able to unlock the board, it's not a security feature but more a social feature, preventing inadvertent edits and perhaps as a social signal "Do Not Erase").
