Description
I set up a relay event with 4 legs using MeOS. I enabled the “Use control pool” option under the Classes settings.
During the event, one athlete had a card malfunction and manually punched some controls. I reviewed and validated their punches manually, and the team status became OK, as expected.
However, I encountered an issue with this team. Other of their athletes completed the wrong fork, but MeOS did not detect this mistake or flag the team as disqualified.
Here are the details:
• 1st leg: ran variation ADF (this is incorrect; they should have run ADE)
• 2nd leg: ran BCF – correct
• 3rd leg: ran ADF – correct
• 4th leg: ran BCE – this was the athlete with the manually validated punches
So, the mistake occurred in the 1st leg: the athlete followed the wrong third branch in the fork (F instead of E). Despite this, MeOS marked the team as valid and did not detect the error.
Could this be a bug in the fork validation logic? I’d appreciate any help or guidance on this issue.
