Open links in default browser

It would be great if there were some way to open links in the default browser or main Chrome instance rather than in the SSB. For instance, in Fluid, the user can specify regex/blob based URL rules that automatically decide which links stay in the SSB. An easier and perhaps almost equally desirable solution would be to be able to hold down a modifier key or two while clicking a link to open it in the default browser.
