Not able to switch accounts

Updating the account list works fine; I see the 3 tail-scale accounts and the "" by the active one.
Then, if I select a different account, I get the password prompt, and the extension thinks I have switched to the new account. But running "tailscale switch --list" still shows the original account selected, and the "accounts" dropdown still indicates the "" next to the previous account. The top panel in the extension shows the account I was trying to switch to, and if I try to switch to it again, the extension tells me that I'm already logged in to that account, even though I am not.
