Hello, better replies support/integration is on our roadmap (#142).

Question: in your usecase, will it be better to use > quote like you suggested, or to use an actual discord reply? I think the second option is always best but i don't know much about discord so if you really insist that there should be a quotation text, we have to take it into consideration.

I believe the reply would be better, but I'm not sure if it's possible for a bot to make a reply

@rinnyanneko are you running the lastest build? I think this is the result of #124.

Discord bots can make replies but they cannot make replies which spoof the name, the bot's name will always appear as the sender. My fix for this #135 falls back to formatting replies like

<{NICKNAME}> {MESSAGE}

with a reply link attached

instead of

{MESSAGE} (reply to {REPLY_NICKNAME})

If you're using the latest build @rinnyanneko try setting QuoteDisable=true. That will at least clear up the clutter.
