Some ideas for improvement

Is it possible to add multi-language support, and if so, I would like to contribute to this project, and also is it possible to refer to some of the advantages of prism as a tool for our tools.

Currently I don't have plans to add any language support. From my experience, it pays off not accordingly with the effort spent.

However, if you or someone else comes up with an elegant integration which won't affect the overall development cycle, I would be happy to merge PRs.

Thank you for this awesome software. Wondering what is the best way of adding multiple shot at once. Is it possible to externally add sub-projects and tasks, with relevant metadata?

Hi @abelmilanes thanky you very much for your kind comment.
At the moment that functionality is not there yet.
I will add some convenience tools to bulk-create and ability to import from csv files.
Additionally, I am working on autodesk flow (shotgrid) integration (will be followed by kitsu) which will allow mirroring projects from existing projects.

Kitsu will be fantastic! I have done some work with its API to create shots from a Resolve timeline.
Are you planing any functionality to pass data from Tik to Kitsu as well?

Currently I am planning to do the shot/asset syncy in a single direction (Shotgrid -> Tik / Kitsu -> Tik)
Tik Manager will be able to create versions and media on related tasks.
This is mainly to prevent any data loss and Shotgrid and Kitsu are the actualy project managers which should sit on top.

Tik Manager so far looks very promising, but I think we need more types of extracts when publishing things, for example if Im working on grooming something with Yeti and yeti cache is not alembic nor fbx and we need to automate that thing in order to do things faster, I've seen that on other studios, and submitting renders to renderfarm, not using default deadline submitter but using less complex submitter, for example Prism have that , even some studios I worked , when they published for ex, cloth caches or hair caches or whatever cache they needed, they did that with submitting on renderfarm and not caching it out locally.

As you stated, this is almost an endless improvement and there will be always room for improvement.

What Tik Manager provides at this stage is working extract, ingest and validate mechanism which can be easily altered and expanded according to the individual or studio requirements.

We will keep expanding the functionalities aiming to keep everything as 'generic' as possible. However any TD can implement (and many studios and individuals are already started doing that) extract / ingest / validate plugs as they need.

In a similar fashion, farm submitters can be done and customized. Adding some kind of farm support (at least as a starting point) is in my to-do list. But you would appreciate that making it compatible for all farm softwares / render engines / DCCs is a pretty big permutation and will take a bit of time.
