Minimum XY offset

I need to build a new mount for my hot end. While I'm at it I may as well build the BDsensor into it. What I can't find though is what is the minimum distance between the sensor probe and any metal such as the heating block or nozzle.

There's almost no need to worry about that. You can even use a metal case to mount the sensor like this which I used.

Thanks Mark! Can I assume then it's ok to use a metal screw in the mounting hole? I've always used nylon.
