Enhancement Request: Smooth transitions for internal cameras between view categories

Hi, I read on the Xplane forum that putting feature requests here is better. I'm slightly confused because nothing seems to be going on here, so I hope this is still up to date.
My idea: Add smooth transitions not only between two cameras that are inside of the same view category, but also when they're in different ones. On airliners you have a lot of screens to watch and buttons to press depending on the situation, so I started grouping my views in categories sorted by flight phase. So I have a Normal Flight category where I only have the standard pilot view and some close instrument/ MCP views. I can access these really well, because I can quickly skip through them. For my preflight stuff I need a lot more, like overhead view, FMC, EFB, MFD + FMC for route entering and so on. Unfortunately, when I access views via an ID with a joystick button, (for example to change my departure runway during taxi / approach, ... ) I don't get a smooth transition, which is pretty disorienting actually. I believe it would make the whole experience a good bit better if we got nice, smooth transitions everywhere :)
So, would you think this would be possible to implement? Thanks in advance!
And also, if this is indeed the totally wrong place, please tell me. I might still post this on the Xplane forum , just to make sure.

I think this is possible for simple smooth or linear transitions as long as the target camera is of the same type as the from camera, i.e. internal vs external.

I'll have to take a look at the code more closely.

Thanks a lot for looking into this! I don’t think that smooth transitions between different camera types is important anyway, because it would always look strange going through the roof of your aircraft to an external view.
